Join Adria Jackson, Singing Harper, for a warm and intimate musical experience as beautiful traditional Irish melodies and beloved ballads fill the room, capturing the spirit, heart, and storytelling of Ireland. From stirring anthems to tender airs like Danny Boy and She Moves Through The Fair.

About

Adria Jackson is a Canadian Celtic singing harpist  reminiscent of Loreena Mckennitt and early Joni Mitchell.   Adria's natural and pure lyric soprano voice paired with her hand crafted harp skillfully brings traditional ballads and songs to life. She released her debut album Troubadour in June 2023 which reached #15 nationally on Earshot  folk/blues/roots charts and was the most requested artist on Scotlander Radio (Inverness, Scotland) in July 2023.     Troubadour is filled with traditional Celtic, timeless originals, Canadiana & folk inspired classical songs.  Her song choices draw on her Celtic, English and Scandinavian heritage.

After living across Canada and the UK, Adria now lives with her family in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she is soaking up at the Gaelic culture and sea air.   She was the feature artist at the Ancient River Festival, the Helen Creighton Folk Club, Side Door by the Sea (Side Door Access), the Sanctuary Arts Centre. Autumn 2024, Adria performed for film executives of the Atlantic International Film while sailing in Halifax Harbour.  She was also honoured to perform for the Lieutenant Governor at Government House which included the music video premier of her song Tell The Bees.

Before emerging as a traditional folk artist, Adria had many years experience as a classical  & educator.   She has sung in recitals across Canada, England and Wales including with early music group, Dei Gratia,  soprano with the Cambridge Philharmonic Choir at the historic King's College Chapel, Cambridge, an art show/concert with UK Iconographer Fadi Mikhail and leading students at the Royal Albert Hall.  Adria taught singing workshops at primary school in England for Sing Up! plus directed 3 children's choirs.  She also ran a bustling private studio in Elstree & Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, UK.
